Summary of the role and also what the team are up to: 

 

The Trade Marketing Lead is a forward-thinking marketing professional responsible for driving the marketing strategy and execution for Go City’s portfolio of multi-attraction passes on third-party platforms. This role is critical in ensuring our products are effectively marketed and sold through B2B partners, including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Expedia, Viator, Klook, and Get Your Guide, as well as traditional travel agencies like Flight Centre.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in digital marketing and will be skilled at identifying best practices for promoting products on third-party websites. This person will bring innovative ideas to the table, helping to shape the way our products are marketed, and will ensure that all marketing assets are up to date and aligned with our brand strategy.

  

What will you be responsible for /helping us to do? 

 

  • ·       Digital Marketing Strategy: Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy focused on maximizing visibility and sales of Go City products on third-party platforms.
  • ·       Optimization of Product Listings: Continuously optimize product listings on various trade channels, ensuring they are compelling, brand-consistent, and effective in converting sales.
  • ·       Relationship Management: Alongside the Account Managers, liase with our trade partners, ensuring that our products are accurately represented and marketed effectively on partner platforms.
  • ·       Asset Management: Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive library of marketing assets for use by third-party sellers, including images, copy, promotional materials, and more.
  • ·       Training:   Assist in developing training materials for use by Account Managers and Trade Partners.
  • ·       Innovative Marketing Solutions: Assist in developing and innovating marketing ideas that differentiate Go City products on third-party sites, including unique campaigns, promotions, and other digital marketing initiatives.
  • ·       Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor the performance of our products on third-party sites, using data analytics to refine strategies and report on key metrics such as conversion rates and ROI.
  • ·       Competitive Analysis: Keep a close eye on competitor activities across all trade channels, ensuring our offerings remain competitive and compelling.
  • ·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the broader trade team and other internal departments to align marketing strategies and ensure a unified approach to our trade partnerships.
  • ·       Market Trend Awareness: Stay abreast of the latest trends in digital marketing and the travel industry, applying relevant insights to drive business growth.
  • ·       Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery of marketing initiatives within budget.

Requirements

  • B2B Sales and Marketing Experience: Deep experience in B2B sales and marketing, particularly in managing relationships and marketing initiatives with large partners like OTAs and retail chains.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing performance.
  • Travel Industry Experience: Experience in the travel industry or working with OTAs and other third-party platforms.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and competing priorities across various markets and partners.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Some experience and knowledge of digital marketing, including an  understanding of search and paid media strategies.
  • Creative and Innovative: A creative thinker who is always looking for new and innovative ways to market products and engage partners.
  • ·Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive and Self-Motivated: A self-starter who takes initiative and is motivated to achieve results.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A deep understanding of customer behavior and insights, ensuring that all marketing efforts are aligned with what drives customer engagement and purchases.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address challenges in the execution of marketing plans

  • Desirable:
  • Global Marketing Perspective: Experience in managing marketing efforts across multiple regions or countries.
  • Content Management Systems: Familiarity with content management systems and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Graphic Design Skills: Basic proficiency in Photoshop or other image editing software.
  • Email Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of email marketing tools like Mailchimp or Emarsys.
  • Foreign Language Proficiency: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
