About the role

The Role

The Commercial Analyst is responsible for overseeing data for APAC, and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills (data cleaning and statistical analysis) and soft skills (critical thinking and communication) and be adept in transforming raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to draw insights that drive strategic business decisions.  
  

Key Responsibilities  
Marketing Commercial Growth Analytics  

  • Data Aggregation- Gather user traffic data from primary and secondary sources including Google Analytics, Paid and social media, affiliates and other channels of distribution and external sites and clean and normalize the data  
  • Analytics - Employ statistical techniques to decode performance trends and patterns. Identify optimization and efficiencies and present them to stakeholders with guidance and actionable to drive business growth and follow through to successful implementation and measure outcome 
  • Paid Media Strategy (PPC, Social and Display) - Support the APAC Marketing team in creating Paid Media strategies for Search, Social, Display, Native and other digital channels. Conduct keyword research, create compelling ads, and manage campaign uploads, ensuring alignment with brand tone and goals. 
  • Track Keyword Performance for key source markets across APAC and collaborate with marketing leads to optimize performance.
  • Global Collaboration- Laise with Global Marketing teams to drive marketing efficiencies for APAC cities and source markets by tracking performance of routes and optimizing for profitability  
  • Data Visualization: Represent findings through charts and dashboards to make the data understandable by the wider APAC and global teams 
  • Implement best optimization practices, including daily checks, Search Query Reports (SQRs), Social and display campaigns, and budget health checks. 

  

Destination Analytics Support  

  • Develop Destination Dashboards in collaboration with the Destination team to enable them to visualize city wise performance at a glance 

  

Trade and Affiliate Marketing Analytics 

  • Generate Reports for Affiliate marketing
  • Collaborate with Marketing Affiliate team to scale the channel for APAC cities 
  • Support the APAC Affiliate and commercial team with analytics on performance across the affiliate network  

  

APAC Reporting  

  • Be the Go-to person for the APAC team to generate any ad-hoc reports via SQL from the DWH within a moderate set of reports  
  • Track and Report APAC performance trends to Global leaders and events as needed 
  • Support the APAC team with analytics needs on an ad-hoc basis  

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications  

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience of 4-5 years in data analysis in ecommerce. Travel experience is a plus  
  • Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R.  
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness.   
  • Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.  
  • Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background
